Sara-Mia Liljedahl-Färlin
Customer Success Manager – Customer SuccessWelcome to the giosg career page where we introduce you to some of our talents!
Hi Sara, so nice to meet you! Could you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Hi! My name is Sara. I work as a Customer Engagement Specialist here at giosg. Before I joined giosg, I worked in an online store, I started there in the customer service team and after that I’ve worked e.g. as customer service team leader and customer service manager.
My first experience of giosg is actually using the software in my previous job. That’s also how I ended up applying for the position in the Customer Engagement-team as well. The company popped up on LinkedIn, and I decided to try my luck since I wanted to try out something new! Working with B2B-customers was completely new to me but the people at giosg trusted my skills and I have been able to gain so much experience here since then!
Happy to get to know you! To start off, I wanted to ask: what did you want to be when you were little?
When I was little, I wanted to be a pharmacist or a lawyer. I actually even have a BBA-degree and I'm specialized in legal expertise, but I’ve never worked in that field for a day! The first way I made money was as a baby-sitter my cousins during the day while their parents were at work. My first real job was in a clothing store when I was 16-years-old.
And what do you actually do now?
I asked my family and friends what they think I do at work, they told me that they think I make robots, write difficult things, spend a lot of time on the computer in meetings, and finally that I am responsible for customer satisfaction and training B2B customers in the world of chatbots.
I actually work as a Customer Engagement Specialist and the main goal of our team is to help our customers in the implementation of giosg products. We train them in the product and offer the best possible solutions to ensure that the customer gets the most out of our products. For me, my favorite projects are those in which I help the customer, when I get to challenge myself and my creativity. I enjoy utilizing my own work background from e-commerce for example when we design or build visually good-looking solutions together with the customer.
What is the best thing about your job?
The best thing about my job is when I meet new people and make new contacts. I also love when I get to challenge myself and my creativity, for example when we design or build visually good-looking solutions together with the customer.
And of course the best thing about my job is our team. We always have fun together and the days are a perfect mix of humor and professional work.
Happy to hear that! How would you describe giosg then?
I have nothing but good things to say about Giosg. We have the best team here, everyone can be themselves and everyone is respected and valued. Giosg takes good care of its employees and it's always nice to come to the office. I also enjoy spending time with my coworkers outside of working hours.
During my first day at giosg, I thought I’d never learn everything there was to know. How wrong was I? I've learned a lot and even more. At giosg, everyone has the great opportunity to develop their skills towards their personal career goals, and I myself try to maintain and develop my skills through various trainings and webinars. I'm also excited to learn more about other teams' ways of working and help them with my own input whenever I can. One thing I also realized on my first day at giosg is how kind and helpful all my colleagues are. There are no stupid questions.
It would also be really nice to hear about memorable things that you’ve been able to participate in during your time here?
A couple of memorable and interesting projects that I’ve been taking part in arranging was the customer event we organized in June 2022 and a video project we made in January 2023 in cooperation with our marketing team. It was fun!
The absolutely coolest thing I've been able to experience is definitely our CE team's trip to Barcelona in September 2022. We spent a couple of working days and the weekend in Barcelona. The trip was a perfect mix of working, being together and taking part in new experiences in beautiful Barcelona. A fun fact is that one of our newest employees met us face to face for the first time at the airport in Barcelona when we went there. She was so brave, to immediately dare to go on a trip with nine strangers for five days😄
Thank you for answering my questions! To end this, I wanted to ask you three quick questions totally out of context! First off, what goes on your favorite pizza?
I'm super boring and I always choose the same ones: mozzarella, tomato, pesto, broiler and arugula.
But that sounds so good! What’s your go-to karaoke song then?
I never do karaoke but if I do, I always choose some Lady Gaga's song (I'm a BIG fan of hers).
And finally, what’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
Be yourself, trust yourself and challenge yourself. And always ask for help if you feel like you need it💕
That’s really good advice! Thank you Sara for sharing this with us!
